OUR MISSION

At Neuro Educational Specialists (NES), we believe in utilizing evidence-based neuropsychological and educational approaches to assessment and intervention. We then tailor unique intervention plans to foster effective learning and adaptive behavior within the school and family environments. We believe that the best way to empower all learners is to utilize brain-behavior principles to help each student, their parents, and their educators to understand the student’s unique learning profile.

Once we identify your child’s learning profile, we utilize our experience to unlock, illuminate and provide access to additional supports and services in the community to help your child succeed. At NES, our purpose is to provide clear and comprehensive assessment and diagnostic tools to address your child’s academic, social-emotional, speech/language, and behavioral functioning. We also include individualized recommendations to help maximize the quality of life for your child and your family and bridge the gap between families and educators.

In today's ultra-competitive and ever-evolving educational landscape, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the pressure to “excel” and confused by the complex web of supports and services available. At Neuro Educational Specialists, we strive to “bridge the gap” between the disciplines of neuropsychology and education, and between your family and the appropriate resources to maximize your child's potential – both at school and at home.

It's time for everyone, ourselves included, to stand together against racism and injustice.

At NES, we are committed to promoting social justice. We recognize and acknowledge the negative impact of stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, oppression, power, and privilege on a child’s mental health. We honor all people, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, class, ability, culture, nationality, and immigration status. Our psychologists strive to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from school programs. We are dedicated to providing professional practices that reflect understanding and respect for human diversity and promote effective services, equity, advocacy, and social justice for all children.
