They are truly gifted at what they do
— special education teacher

"I have been doing this job for 30 years and have sat in with many psychologists over the years. I can honestly say that the specialists at Neuro Educational Specialists area truly gifted at what they do. Their insight is not only on target, it is so valued. Their approach with parents when explaining the most difficult, hard to hear information is kind and well said."

"I wanted to personally thank Dr. Croft.

The feedback I received on her keynote presentation was incredibly positive and really helped set the stage. One of the most valuable statements (that I heard more than once) was that Dr. Croft made the information relatable to staff, and easy to understand; she was able to take really heavy information and make it understandable. Dr. Croft created such a great morning for our staff. We hope to have her back in some capacity again down the road."

— Lea Anne Frost, Director of Student Services Park Ridge/Niles District 64

“Amanda Moons provided engaging professional development and coaching opportunities to our staff throughout the 2018-19 school year. Our professionals appreciated the knowledge that was shared, the collegial networking, and the ability to prepare tools to enhance staff's roles and responsibilities. Amanda Moons was overwhelmingly responsive to our needs as a school district.”

As a parent of a struggling high school student, I needed information and advocacy. Dr. Cooper helped us both understand how my daughter's anxiety and ADHD were impacting her performance and attitude at school. This was validating for my daughter and a call to action for me. Dr. Cooper thoroughly collected information, making sure she had an accurate picture of my daughter's strength and weaknesses. She facilitated communication between "us and them", making sure there was a solid support plan in place. I am grateful for Dr. Cooper's knowledge of the process to support my daughter in school, her genuine dedication to helping her, and the positive impact this process has had on my daughter's life.

They have made such a difference in our family’s lives.
— Parent

"Neuro Educational Specialists has made such a difference in our family's lives. They was able to reach our child in a way other therapists could not. Through their guidance we are better able to understand the challenges and strengths of our child's diagnosis. The relationship they built with our child allowed him to trust them enough to help him navigate some of the most stressful circumstances in high school. He has not established this level of trust with any other professionals and I am so grateful that they continue to be available to work with him while he is away at college."

"Dr. Croft is an invaluable team member. Teachers, Related Service Staff, Parents, and Students all go out of their way to tell me how much they enjoy working with her. Dr. Croft has made difficult meetings run smoothly, as she is able to bring a human and kind perspective when discussing difficult and emotional situations. Her ability to easily establish trust and to provide data in an understandable and meaningful way allows the school to build relationships with families."

Dr. Cooper stands out as one of the best psychologists I’ve worked with.
— Social Worker

“I've spent over 25 years working in the mental health field, and Dr. Cooper stands out as one of the best psychologists I've worked with. She's tirelessly continuing to learn, improve the tools she uses, use data to drive decision making, and advocate for the students she serves. Dr. Cooper's authenticity and honesty allow her to connect with kids, parents, school teachers/ support staff, and high level administrators alike. Dr. Cooper's combination of intelligence, drive, and communication skills make her a remarkable psychologist-- one I'd want on my team anytime.”

"Our school district has had the opportunity to work with Dr. Croft on several different occasions to provide educational evaluations for students with special needs. Our team is always impressed with how quickly Dr. Croft is able to meet with us, discuss our concerns and begin evaluating our students as well as how quickly she is able to complete her evaluations and provide us with an in-depth and comprehensive report. In meetings, Dr. Croft has presented her findings in a way that is easily understood by the team but also comforting to the parents.

Many times the parents of the students being evaluated have many questions and concerns regarding different diagnoses and Dr. Croft is able to thoroughly explain to them how we came to our conclusion and offer many recommendations to the team and parents for how we can best support the student. Her expertise, professionalism and friendliness have been something that our district greatly appreciates and we look forward to the opportunity to continue to use her services to help us better identify and support our students."

— School Administrator

“We had the privilege of working with Amanda Moons for completing re-evaluations this school year. Amanda was amazing to work with. She jumped right in and joined our team with ease. Amanda has been a great thought partner with the parents and school team. When making decisions, she was very detailed with presenting all of the data, explaining all areas of eligibility and discussing why the student does or does not meet criteria for a specific eligibility. Amanda has a very calm and nurturing presence no matter what situation arises.”

[Amanda] took the time and care to meet each student and parent where they were at
— School Counselor

“Our school was fortunate to work closely with Amanda Moons on student evaluations this past school year. Her interactions with families were overwhelmingly positive as she took the time and care to meet each student and parent where they were at. Her thorough explanations always involved a great amount attention to detail, yet she communicated in a way that was easy to understand and put families at ease. Even though it was her first year with us, she quickly became a respected team member and we greatly valued her contributions to our families and community.”
